Transforming Relationships for High Performance - The Power of Relational Coordination Primary care is an essential element of successful systems of care. Yet when people build systems of care, they often neglect primary care. Regional planners say they have not been able to engage primary care, while primary care providers are disillusioned about being part of the solution when their work appears to be undervalued. In the closing plenary Dr. Gittell will share evidence regarding the power of relational coordination - coordinating work through relationships of shared goals, shared knowledge and mutual respect - for addressing these challenges from the systems level to the front line of care.
