hosted by Asthma Canada
Objectives
Founded 50 years ago, Asthma Canada is proud to be the leading national voice in the fight against asthma, working tirelessly to improve the lives of Canadians impacted by this chronic respiratory disease.
On Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, Asthma Canada will be convening a policy workshop at MaRS, collaborating with care providers, patient advocates, health care associations and the asthma community, to develop tangible solutions that address the challenges millions of people in Ontario living with asthma are facing in accessing high-quality, respiratory care in their communities – from diagnosis to treatment to day-to-day management.
We’ll focus on developing implementable solutions to ensure a care pathway with acceptable wait times, ensuring access to care is improved across the patient’s journey.
Solutions from the workshop will inform Asthma Canada’s advocacy with policy makers calling on them to address care gaps and ensure the care system is resilient and sustainable for people living with asthma and their care providers.
