Objectives

Together with our partner Baycrest, we invite you to apply to the upcoming National ECHO Care of the Elderly: Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms in Dementia (BPSD), starting on Monday, September 16. This program is offered at no cost to participants. 

 Join us weekly until December 16th to explore the many topics covered in the recently released Canadian Clinical Practice Guidelines for Assessing and Managing BPSDIn addition to guest experts and discussions, case studies will be presented in this unique professional development format for primary care providers caring for older adults.

Topics covered will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Overview of (BPSD)
  • Assessment of BPSD
  • BPSD in Non-Alzheimer's Disease
  • Depression, Anxiety & Dementia
  • Agitation
  • Psychosis
  • De-prescribing
  • Apathy
  • ....and more!

Dates:   September 16 – December 16, 2024 (Mondays)
               (no sessions on September 30, October 14, and November 11) 

Time:  12:30-2:00 MST  | 1:30-3:00 CST  |  2:30-4:00 EST  |  3:30- 5:00 AST

Registration fee:  the program is offered at no cost to participants

Format: videoconferencing & case-based learning in an “all learn, all teach approach.

Upon submission of your application, the ECHO team will assess your eligibility for the program. Subsequently, a confirmation email will be sent to you, indicating your eligibility for participation and registration in the ECHO program.
