We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Dale Clement as the Senior Director of Strategy and Programs at the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario (AFHTO). Dale brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in healthcare, with a proven track record in clinical and operational leadership, strategic planning, and transformative program development.
Dale’s extensive expertise spans across a range of senior roles, including Vice President of Clinical Programs, Strategy & Transformation at Unity Health, and CEO at Waterloo Wellington CCAC. She has demonstrated exceptional leadership in fostering collaborative partnerships, driving system-wide improvements, and ensuring the sustainability and quality of patient care. In addition to her executive roles, Dale is deeply committed to community engagement. She has served on several boards, including St. Michael’s Hospital Academic Family Health Team, St. Joseph’s Urban Family Health Team and as Board Chair for seven years at OakMed FHT. Her passion for equity, diversity, and inclusion, along with her commitment to improving healthcare delivery, aligns seamlessly with AFHTO’s vision to strengthen primary care teams across Ontario.
As Senior Director of Strategy and Programs, Dale will lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that enhance the governance, accountability, and operational effectiveness of primary care teams. She will oversee key organizational structures, including contracts and governance frameworks, ensuring that AFHTO members are well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of the healthcare system. With a focus on quality improvement and evidence – based programs, Dale will foster innovation, improved healthcare outcomes, and strengthened primary care teams across Ontario.
We are confident that Dale's leadership will be instrumental in advancing our mission and enhancing our ability to serve our members, stakeholders, and communities across Ontario.
