Last week we announced that the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care and Deputy Premier, Hon. Christine Elliott, would be providing opening remarks at the start of our conference on October 24th. Unfortunately, due to a scheduling conflict she will no longer be able to attend the conference.
This makes the conversations we’ll have- at the annual general meeting, opening plenary, our government relations fireside chat and more- even more vital. It’s a timely reminder that we need to connect with each other as we strive to understand our current environment and its ramifications for primary health care.
We understand if any attendee feels disappointed, but we’re also grateful we can say, at least it’s not a flood, like we had in 2015. We went on to have a rewarding experience then, and we look forward to doing so again, especially with our opening and closing plenary speakers, Julie Drury, Chair, Minister’s Patient and Family Advisory Council and Jody Hoffer Gittell, Executive Director, Founder, Relational Coordination Research Collaborative.
This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 12.00 Mainpro+ credits.
Attendance entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leaders members (CHE / Fellow) to 6.25 for Category II credits for conference and 1.5 Category II credits for pre-conference towards their maintenance of certification requirement.
We look forward to seeing you at the AFHTO 2018 Conference!
