Hosted by UHN
Objectives
Hosted by UHN’s Centre for Mental Health, this symposium explores the intricate connection between chronic pain and mental health, offering expert insights, advanced interventions, and practical strategies for improving patient care. Chronic pain affects nearly 8 million Canadians and carries a $40 billion annual economic burden, making its mental health impact crucial to address.
Join leading experts for in-depth presentations, interactive workshops, and a panel discussion on barriers to care, including a focus on Sickle Cell Disease and chronic pain.
Healthcare providers across disciplines—including primary care physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, physiatrists, physical therapists, and mental health clinicians—will benefit from this opportunity to enhance their knowledge and clinical approach. Trainees in these fields are also encouraged to attend.
