Job Description:
The Southlake Academic Family Health Team (SAFHT) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Manager to join our family health team. As a Nursing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of 13+ nurses across four site locations, including hiring, training, scheduling
- Enforce office policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices
- Manage nursing operating budget effectively
- Plan and evaluate program strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure staffing levels meet program needs through recruitment and training
- Facilitate nursing team meetings and oversee organization-wide vaccine initiatives
- Monitor nursing service objectives and develop action plans based on performance metrics
- Address team development needs and facilitate professional growth opportunities
- Participate in program development and committee activities as required
- Conduct research to uphold best practices and infection control standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum five years of clinical experience; experience in primary care is preferred
- Strong knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience as a Nurse Manager in a collaborative team environment
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Experience in fiscal management, program development, and evaluation
