Your Opportunity:

The HR Coordinator is to be responsible for; and serves as a resource for any questions related to onboarding of new employees and physicians, data analytics, maintenance of the HCM system and participates in talent acquisition. Success in this position requires excellent decision-making, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and search programs: support hiring managers, draft job postings, screen resumes, phone screens, and assist with coordinating interviews.
  • Generate various HR and labour relations reports and metrics.
  • Maintain HCM (Dayforce experience preferred) scheduling system, participate in software upgrades and testing.
  • Provide overall administrative support to the Director, People & Culture, as well as the overall People and Culture department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • University Degree and/or College Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent. Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or in progress.
  • 3 -5 years of progressive generalist experience as an HR professional in a unionized environment, preferably in the Health Care or not-for-profit field.
  • Working knowledge of HCM and scheduling software and interface capabilities to other business systems.
  • Experience with HCM; experience with Dayforce (Ceridian) considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to provide advice and counsel to management on employee/labour relations matters and application and interpretation of legislation and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities is required.
  • Diplomacy, tact and confidentiality.
  • Strong relationship building skills to foster positive working relationships

Summary

  • Classification: Non-Union

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday; Regular office hours

  • Salary: $57,929 – $65,000
