Your Opportunity:

The Data Quality Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting to Ontario Health and the Primary Care Stakeholder Council. This position involves coordinating reporting requirements, supporting the building of efficient electronic medical records (EMR) queries for data collection, and conducting regular audits to maintain data accuracy and integrity.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Works with the Director of Integration and Manager, Quality and Professional Practice to coordinate the collection of data from HFHT practices, partnering organizations to fulfill reporting requirements to Ontario Health related to Expanding Team-Based care

Works with the Project Coordinator to ensure all data is collected within set target dates

Support Quality Improvement Decision Support Specialists (QIDSS) to collaborate with physician and practice teams to build electronic medical record (EMR) queries to collect measurement information

Support the preparation and presentation of detailed reports for regular meetings with partners and Ontario Health

Ensure data extraction processes are streamlined and accurate

Conduct regular audits of the collected data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity

Identify and rectify any discrepancies or data quality issues

Implement best practices for data management and auditing processes

Address any queries and concerns from partners related to data reports

Participate in working groups and committees related to expanding team- based care

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Data Management, Information Technology or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in data management, reporting, or a related role in a healthcare setting; experience with primary care data is preferred
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems, data querying and reporting tools. Experience with Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with partners
  • Applied knowledge of Telus PS EMR system preferred

Classification: Non-Union

Primary Location: Hamilton; Hybrid work

Employee Class: Full-Time; 40hrs/week

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8hrs/day

Date Available: July 2024
