This presentation provides an overarching schema of rheumatic diseases, with a focus on types and patterns of articular involvement, and extraarticular and serologic correlates. By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to apply this schema when approaching common rheumatic disease presentations. 

This webinar will address, the following: 

  • Apply a framework to the approach to inflammatory joint disease.
  • Identify extra articular features that help to distinguish between various forms of inflammatory joint disease.

Speakers: 

Amanda Steiman is a Clinician in Quality and Innovation at Mount Sinai Hospital/University Health Network. She received her MD from the University of Western Ontario, and completed Internal Medicine and Rheumatology training at the University of Toronto. She subsequently pursued a fellowship in lupus, and completed an MSc through the Institute of Medical Science.  Her Quality Improvement initiatives are focused on improved delivery of care, including collaborative care models such as Project ECHO, to patients with complex, often multisystemic rheumatologic diseases.
