LEAP Lung Palliative Care Education

Tue, January 25, 2022 - Tue, February 01, 2022
Online

Hosted By The Lung Health Foundation

The Lung Health Foundation is partnering with Pallium Canada to offer a free LEAP Lung session at Better Breathing Week. The session provides support for providing better care to patients with advanced lung diseases, and their families.  Pallium Canada is a national, non-profit organization focused on building professional and community capacity to help improve the quality and accessibility of palliative care in Canada.

LEAP Lung is an inter-professional course that focuses on the essential competencies to provide a palliative care approach, with case studies and webinars contextualized to the respiriology care setting.  It is specifically for respiriologists and their teams (e.g., nurses, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, social workers, pharmacists, etc.) who care for patients with advanced lung diseases (e.g., COPD, interstitial lung disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, non-small cell lung cancer, cystic fibrosis, etc.).
