Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete administrative tasks including chart preparation, booking appointments, managing phone lines and other administrative tasks as needed
  • Process patient referrals, coordinate appointments and follow up care in a timely manner 
  • Proficiently respond to all communications including phone calls and emails 
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives 
  • The role is well suited to individuals who thrive in fast paced work environments with excellent organizational and time management skills. 

The Requirements:

  • Medical office experience is an asset 
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records such as Telus Practice Solutions and Quadramed 
  • Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and an aptitude for adapting to new software and IT systems
  • Sound knowledge of medical terminology 
  • Exceptional patient service skills 
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage patient confidentiality at all times
