Overview
The Peterborough Family Health Team is seeking a number of mental health clinicians for positions available currently and upcoming. Over the next 5 months we anticipate having a variety of full-time, part-time, permanent and contract positions available at a number of locations within the region of Peterborough City and County. Our patient population is primarily adult but may include couples, families and youth. Our therapy model is short-term 1:1 and group. Current groups include Mindfulness, MBCT and MBCT-I.

Responsibilities:

Our Mental Health Clinicians work with patients in a health care setting providing:

  • psychotherapy and psychosocial interventions;
  • health education;
  • crisis intervention; and
  • patient navigation and advocacy on behalf of patients.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years clinical experience in the community
  • Bachelor of Social Work is an asset (Master of Social Work is preferred)
  • OCSWSSW registration or M.ED/MA in Counselling Psychology
  • CRPO registration
  • Experience leading groups is an asset
  • Addition training/experience also considered an asset:
    • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
    • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
    • Trauma Informed Approach
  • Comfort level and experience working with issues across a broad spectrum
  • Other degrees will be considered; however, you must belong to a related professional college.

Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available
Monday to Friday, occasional evening work may be required to meet patient need
