As part of the transformation currently underway in Ontario’s healthcare system, organizations and community members in Kitchener-Waterloo, Wellesley, Woolwich and Wilmot (KW4) have come together to form a Ministry of Health approved Ontario Health Team (KW4 OHT). The KW4 OHT Steering Committee, on behalf of the OHT Members, is seeking an exceptional individual to lead the next phase of the OHT through the development and execution of strategic, operational, business and project plans of the KW4 OHT to realize its vision for the future in accordance with the Collaborative Decision Making Agreement (CDMA) executed by the KW4 OHT Members.

The Executive Director is a key leadership role and resource to the KW4 OHT, accountable for building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners to optimize the health and wellness of the residents of the KW4 OHT attributed population. The Executive Director will support a culture that enables collaboration amongst the KW4 OHT partners and employ project management best practices to plan and implement the KW4 OHT strategic and operational plans and key business processes. Together with the Steering Committee and on behalf of Members, the Executive Director is the keeper of the OHT vision, mandate and values and will play an important ambassadorial role for the OHT with all community sectors.

The ideal candidate profile includes:

  • a systems thinker with demonstrated ability to lead and manage large, complex projects and/or operations with multiple stakeholders and multiple independent contributing organizations;
  • a record of accomplishment in operations leadership (health and wellness leadership experience considered an asset);
  • demonstrated impact in the areas of health equity, anti-racism and anti-oppression, and proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion;
  • and a Masters degree (preferred) in business administration, healthcare administration or public administration, or equivalent work experience.
